Results of six-Union Exhibition 1930 (Part 2)

One of these centers became Leningrad.
In Leningrad before the war were Caucasian Shepherd is very small. Thus, in the Yearbook section of dog blood of the Leningrad City Association for the 1929 report of the XI Exhibition 1928 (27/29-10) judges PF Pupysheva describes six Caucasian shepherd dogs (4 males and 2 females), exhibited in the open and puppy classes. All the dogs of unknown origin. The owners of these dogs were military depot № 54 and "Utilkollektiv."
Dog before the war left no trace but the history of the breed. After World War II breeding Caucasian Shepherd began anew. Just as before the war, Caucasian Shepherd has continued to interest agencies that have used this breed to guard service.
In 1949, a great enthusiast of service dog, OD Koshkin was carried out the first post-war import Caucasian Shepherd Mr Leningrad.
In 1953, the NN Chernyshov brought to nursery paramilitary security companies Lensovnarhoza dogs from Georgia and Azerbaijan. Among these dogs were coming tribal vendors Gurdjieff, Thunder, Thunder, Tfan. All these dogs were of different types.
In Moscow, the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition in 1956 exposed males: long-haired sable gray Dato, a gray-speckled Vephiya, spotted Chaudhry and Ogre purchased kennel "Red Star", where he subsequently Vephiya widely used as a producer.
In May 1959 Lensovnarhoz carried out the most significant import of dogs from Azerbaijan, in the same year in Moscow at the All-Union Exhibition of Leningrad were purchased dogs from Georgia - Bar Reef and included in further breeding. The son of Rem Reef later became the All-Union Exhibition of Economic Achievements winner and champion.
In addition to these dogs were widely used Palace - black male, born in 1961, smuggled out of Georgia, Azerbaijan exported from Talat, the sons and Tfana Thunders - Gurdjieff and Gurzuf. Later in the breeding sons attended Palace - Abraham (vlad. Haas) and Augur-Alash (vlad. kennel Baltic Shipyard), obtained from the daughter of Gurdjieff Vistula.
Thus, in the 60s there was a group in Leningrad Caucasian Shepherd, relatively isolated from the rest of origin population of the country. The dogs of this group in the mass exterior somewhat inferior to the dogs of Moscow and Ivanovo breeding.
In 1964 at the age of one year in Leningrad from Yaroslavl brought Sultan (vlad. nursery Okhta Chemical Plant), which left a significant mark on the breeding of Leningrad. He was descended from the son of Chodra - Proud and Martha - Moscow manufacturers and was the grandson of maternal champion ENEA Abdullah's 1962-1963 K-II (vlad. "Red Star"), exported from the Caucasus. The sultan was large, with massive bone, slightly elongated, very harmonious and in proportion to the folded gray male piebald color. He had a massive, perfect lines and proportions of the head with the bulk, with no signs of damp face.
Direct successor of Sultan Reshad his son, who succeeded in his life a few owners. His mother was the winner Macaw, owned by the Institute of Krylov.
Reshad somewhat inferior to his father, Sultan. It was not as compact and harmonious, seemed more stretched due to long back. Its coloration is dominated by bright-red hue. Reshad has been repeatedly used in the breeding.

For all German exhibition in Nuremberg showed Osoaviachim Russian breeds of dogs, among them three Caucasian Shepherd, two of which were rated "excellent".
In the 30 years of service dog is a full-fledged branch of the economy.  A true reflection of the time I was Vsegruzinskaya show dogs (Tiflis, May 1931), which along with other breeds of dog breeds on display 41 Caucasian Shepherd. All of them belonged to the departmental nurseries: convoy protection, police department, ZGPU etc.
Shortly before the outbreak of World War II in Tbilisi, an exhibition of dogs, sheep dogs which was attended by state and collective farms. This exhibition has become a unique showcase of the Caucasian Shepherd. Prize-winners of famous males were Caucasians, Jamal Topush and others. A large sable gray Topush is of particular admiration of spectators. Unfortunately, these exhibitions, close to the habitats of natural habitats Caucasian Shepherd is no longer made.
In autumn 1971, in Budapest at the World Dog Show was attended by representatives from over 50 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. Submitted our country Caucasian Shepherd caused an increased interest: they were shown at the World Fair for the first time, three littermates: Uranium II, Grozny, and zurna (vlad. nursery Ministry of Public Utilities of the RSFSR, Moscow) won the highest marks, while Uranus and Zurna II granted the title " Winner of Hungary. "
The marked predominance of Caucasian Shepherd over other domestic breeds of dogs can be traced at the present time. Thus, the first All-Union Exhibition of domestic breeds of dogs in 1988 was billed 111 Caucasian Shepherd, 37 Southern Russia, Central Asian Shepherd Dogs 37 and 39 black terriers.
Departmental nurseries and clubs service dog drew attention to the breed because of its highly developed qualities of the guard. Even at home are Caucasian Shepherd patrol, taking it to the most convenient, elevated position from which you can better see the Predator or an outsider. It should be noted Caucasian sheepdog moving object, whether it's even a car, pack in silence shatters chain and rushes to him with all haste. Once a group of dogs run up to the stranger, some of them give it back, but only some individuals attack, dismissing the offender from the rest of protected areas. But if a stranger just set foot on the protected area, it has thrown all the dogs. This behavior of the Caucasian sheep-dogs, prompted by an innate instinct ...
Thanks to the advanced guard qualities Caucasian Shepherd were exported to various parts of our country. Formed a number of centers of breeding this breed. Often, new breeding centers located thousands of miles from areas of native habitat of species in different climatic zones.
